DR. CLAYTON KELLER

Special Education, Policy Development, Training

Dr. Clayton Keller’s 45-year career in special education included serving as the Coordinator of the Master of Education in Special Education program at Qatar University from 2010-2016 and
an Associate Professor of Special Education at the University of Minnesota Duluth. He also
spent a dozen years supporting the efforts of the Minnesota Department of Education to increase special educator preparation capacity and expand the use of Positive Behavioral
Interventions and Supports in that state. Throughout his profession, Dr. Keller has built capacity at both the educator level through the preparation of general and special education teachers and leaders and the programmatic level with the development and enhancement of degree and in-service programs and special educator preparation requirements. He has developed collaborations, particularly between university programs and governmental and non-governmental organizations, that support the goals of all partners. His international experiences also include: developing special education policy and plans for Oman and Botswana, reviewing educator preparation programs in Palestine and Botswana, helping to organize international conferences in Peru and Oman, and delivering workshops in Turkey and Ukraine. Dr. Keller was a member of the Board of Directors of the Council for Exceptional Children and served in the presidential cycle for its Division of International Special Education and Services.

Dr. Jo has deep experience in education as a system leader, policy advisor, school inspector,
school principal and university professor. She has worked extensively internationally taking on assignments that build capacity and sustainable improvement. Jo is a trusted leader, accountable to executive and ministerial levels. She is highly experienced in leading teams and large-scale projects with particular expertise in school system reform and the GCC market.

Strategic Planning, Higher Education Strategic Partnerships

Professor Brewer entered academia in 2009, working at the University of Bedfordshire before joining St Mary’s University London as Pro Vice Chancellor for Global Engagement, and an interim role as Deputy Vice Chancellor at Bucks New University. More recently, Professor John was CEO of NCUK, a global education charity based in Manchester, providing foundation year qualifications to over 3000 students around the world, and supporting their progression to many UK universities. In addition, Professor John has experience in the private sector creating strategies to maximize profits in various markets. Professor John has worked with universities on research, policy development and implementation. He has experience strategic planning for the private and non-profit sector with his current work focusing on the development of strategies for global engagement with a special focus on strategic partnerships with UK universities.

DR. SHEREEN HAMADEH

GCC Market, Refugee Policy, Business Strategy

Dr. Shereen Hamadeh is passionate about 21st century educational practices, policy and equity issues. She has broad experience in the education sector from classroom teaching to upper management roles in K-12 and higher education institutes. She has consulted with ministries on various topics including equitable access to education. Her doctoral studies and publications currently focus on educational policies and the education of refugees.
